Renovation project

Hi, we are looking to renovate our home in Waimauku, with some work requiring building consent. The home was built it 1978 and has not been renovated before, so plans are not in with council as this did not require a CCC at time of building or since. I’m not sure exactly what information we will need to send in to council - whether we have to get an architect to sign off the entire house plans, or whether I can do these myself (I have already taken measurements and drawn up the floor plan using plansmachine). We will need professional input as we would like to turn a lounge window into a sliding door, extending this. Other work requiring council consent is for the bathroom renovation. Here, we want to remove a wall which I’m not sure if this is load bearing. We are not completing any other structural work. Any thoughts on what is required for council, and estimates for completing the required drawings for consent? Cheers, Sarah
