Renovation advice

Hi, we just bought a new house and would like to make some changes. We are looking at busting though a wall to make 2 bedrooms into 1 and possibly adding an ensuite and walk though wardrobe. We would also like to do an extension in a year or so, so would like some advice on whether this is a good plan for now, or if it would compromise the plans for the extension. We also want to move our current laundry out to the garage, so would need some plans done for that asap. Thanks
