Washing machine not filling

I have an Electrolux 7kg front loader. Approx 9 years old. When starting machine it will fill with a small amount of water, then just sit there. Not wash clothes not take out the laundry powder etc. will continue to countdown from a 50min wash to approx 38mins doing nothing but making a humming sound. Will flash error E 10 on display. I have cleaned pump filter. I have also cleaned out where the powder goes and removed tray completely to see if anything stuck. The cycle continues to countdown with water and clothes just sitting there. I can still unlock and open door during this. Which usually door locks after 2mins when filling. Once the wash gets down to about 21 mins it starts to rinse clothes and fill with water from above the door. Like normal. It will continue to finish this then drain and spin clothes (now and then the E 10 message will occur. I will pause and restart). The cycle will end. However it hasn’t filled up to wash my clothes in the beginning.

George is professional and not to mention friendly (which always makes it easier having a tradesperson in your house). Isolated the problem and had it fixed in the timeframe he gave. Cleaned up after himself. Definitely recommend.
