Ice machine in freezer is broken

The ice machine in our freezer has stopped working, it had been working fine but I went to open the freezer to get ice out the other day and the container that the ice falls into had filled with water and the ice machine is broken. We have since turned the water off for the fridge as the ice machine just kept dripping water
