Repair or replace kitchen waste disposal unit
Job description
We moved into this house about 4 months ago and the waste disposal unit wasnt working. The house is about 5 years old. No idea what is wrong with it, if it can repaired or needs to be replaced.

Bruce came out pretty well straight away, tried to repair but (I didnt realise til later) it was only a cheap unit and past repair. I can a new one the next day and Bruce was back a couple of hours after messaging to install. I would use Bruce again.

"Advised had never gone. Reset cut out. Momentarily went then tripped circuit breaker. Found cutter plate disc jammed, however after dismantling completely, discovered motor windings had failed thus creating a dead short to earth. Returned and fitted replacement. Problem solved. Pete was engaging throughout the process and understanding of the findings and explanations provided."
