Check if a dishwasher can be repaired

We have a double drawer Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher that doesn't work. I'm not sure if it was working before but since we moved here it never worked even after we tried to reset. It makes a constant funny noise when it is on and once it's finished the dishes are not clean, the soap still there and there is a lot of water inside. There were times that soap bubbles came out of it when it was on. I'm not sure what is the model but it's definitely an old one. We want to check if it's possible and worth it to repair and the costs involved. Thank you
