Haier --- not filling

Need to sort out cause of water valves shutting off before machine is full (valves open ok and water starts flowing into machine, then valves shut off after about 7-10 seconds). After a while machine then beeps and displays ERR5 which means that it hasn't filled with water in the expected time. There is no issue with the machines drain/spin function, it empties out fine and the filter is clear. Have tried filling with pressure switch disconnected- doesn't make any difference
