Dishwasher Maintenance

Hi there I have a small half drawer dishwasher that keeps saying F1. I've Googled it, something to do with flooding. I've got the water out of it by taking it apart and putting it back together. However, this time, when I start the cycle it keeps saying F1 and making odd noises before turning off. Please help!
