Our Bosch dishwasher is showing an E24 error message. There is no water sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher so drainage is not an obvious issue. Regardless, I have removed and cleaned the drain mesh, removed and checked the the drain pump outlet and impellor, confirming no obvious debris was there. I have removed the water hose that connects to the waste plumbing under the sink to clear any blockage there - there was nothing major, but I cleaned it anyway. I filled the base of the dishwasher up with a few jugs of water and ran a "reset" (hold start button for 3 seconds) that drains the dishwasher and it drained well. I then started the dishwasher and it still delivers an error message after two minutes of trying to go. It's usual initial gurgle noise that it always starts with does not occur. The unit does not fill with water. and... the problem is intermittent, although it is now more often likely to require 6-10 attempts to have it work. The unit is a Bosch Lifestyle Automatic SMS63M08AU.
