Something wrong with oven temperature

Hi, I have a freestanding beko oven around 5 years old that is burning most things in the oven and seems to be running very hot. Not sure whether it could be the thermostat or possibly the element because slot of steam comes out of the oven when on and opened. Looking for someone to come out and have a look at it.
