TV Aerial Repair

TV suddenly had no picture, but still had sound. Was advised that age of tv meant it probably wasn't worth repairing so yesterday we bought a new one. We then found that there had been damage to aerial (see pic). New tv doesn't recognise connection even though aerial is plugged in. My elderly mother has been without a fully working tv for several days so we need to get repair done asap, Thank you.
