Exterior villa paint

Posted 10 years ago

I am looking at purchasing a property in Palmerston North. The vendor offers it saying they will paint the exterior and the roof prior to settlement. It needs it. The roof is apparently pretty new but not painted. As I am concerned about the quality of job they might do (tendency to be slap dash?) my preference would be to deduct the cost of this paint job from the offer and then have a professional do it once I own it. So I need to find out how much I should deduct the offer by, roughly....

Plan is to extend existing downstairs flat from 1 bedroom to 4 bedroom as per high-level design (attached). I'm after someone who can prepare all the required documentation for a Certificate of Compliance/Building Consent from WCC for the plans. We won't do the building work immediately which is why I'm after a Certificate of Compliance. High-level design has been completed in such a way as to avoid the need for resource consent. A pre-application meeting with the Council has not highlighted...

New bathroom

Posted 10 years ago

Our hideous bathroom needs to be sorted out! Our old shower has holes in 2 of 3 walls, and bits of hardboard are falling out, slaters are coming in, and I've just noticed mould coming thru on the outside wall of the shower. This is obviously the most important bit, as it is impacting on the integrity of the house! Would like to have a drain put in the middle of the floor as we have young kids who like to wash the bathroom floor when they have a bath. Will require new modern shower with...
