However, after some issues and attempted repairs, the electric footrest no longer worked.<\/p>\n<p>To maintain her prime position in front of the TV, she attempted to swap the broken armchair with her two-seater on the other side of the living room.<\/p>\n<p>But, with a dislocated shoulder and no family nearby to help, moving the heavy furniture felt like an impossible task.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought, I suppose I\u2019ll just have to live with it like this \u2014 what else am I to do?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column renovations.<\/p>\n<p>Shannen saw Clair\u2019s job on Builderscrack and quickly offered to come by and help out, free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith Clair, she just wanted some help moving a lounge, and we thought, \u2018that\u2019s no hassle for us,\u2019\u201d Shannen says.<\/p>\n<p>The thing was \u2014 Clair never saw Shannen\u2019s message that day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hung around for an hour in Tirau hoping Clair would get back to us,\u201d Shannen says, all the while hoping no one charges for it, because in Shannen\u2019s words, \u201cthat\u2019d be a bit sh*t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We agree, We just like getting out there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd the fact that we can travel together, it means there\u2019s no pressure to be home at a certain time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But working as a couple doesn\u2019t come without its challenges. As a woman on the tools, Shannen sometimes experiences subtle biases when they rock up on site.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt doesn\u2019t take long for clients to see how hands-on Shan is,\u201d Denham says. phone calls and a bit of fate, Shannen and Denham drove from Hamilton to Tirau to help Clair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey were a very nice young couple,\u201d Clair says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey got the chair out of the front sliding door, and managed to get it in the van, and I thought \u2018thank goodness that chair is going!\u2019\u201d Clair says.<\/p>\n<p>Clair ended up giving it to Shannen and Denham to see if they could make a profit \u2018for the trouble\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey came back inside and they helped me move the two seater, and I couldn\u2019t thank them enough,\u201d Clair I couldn\u2019t do that before, I kept twisting my head, but now I can look straight at it,\u201d Clair says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s actually made my lounge feel bigger. And I like it the way it is now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After all that, I ask Clair whether she can finally put her feet up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell I think I\u2019ve got a few more cleaning jobs to do, because I like to get it done before the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then I\u2019ll see what\u2019s on the TV. I think there\u2019s an Australian program at 4pm, so I think I\u2019ll watch that,\u201d Clair laughs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column
