Attic stair to garage below

We have an external stair at the moment but wanting a secondary connection inside the house. We want to install something similar to a attic stair to the garage downstairs. The opening will be somewhere inside the living room. This might affect the existing sliding door, which then will be removed or changed. We also need to replace the garage door and other few minor affected things here and there. Would like to do it asap.
