Repairs and preparation
Job description
My home was built in the 80s. I have a tray-profile roof that is in very good condition except for a few areas. Two leak-prone repairs, and a few corrosion places to be fixed, perhaps some flashing replacement. I have a quote for painting but need these repairs and preparation done before the painting process can begin.

The work carried out has shown up three issues. Firstly, poor quality workmanship with a water leak repair. Second, bad handling of the replacement material: new flashing damaged during installation and left like that. Finally ignorance of the the techniques required to install correctly - riveting in the wrong places so that the flashing warps audibly during the heat of the day.
