Flood damaged hot water cylinder

Hot water cylinder repair - Access panel damaged and water and mud inside which was result of excess water from rains causing mud slip onto hot water cylinder. I have cleared mud away and some out of the access area, then tried the pilot light but nothing is happening. Hot water cylinder system is a gas Vulcan Freeloader 300 . 2 photos attached.
