The driveway of our rental is due for an upgrade. It has always been loose metal and a real pain as the drive kicks up to the road, and loose metal builds up in a pile as the rain washes it down. As I am in Christchurch and don't have accurate measurements, a guestimation of area would be about 85m2. The area to be concreted, extends right from the road down to the existing pad, and rolls round to seal the parking area. An issue we have always had, is drainage with the rainwater coming from the road and down the drive. It may be necessary to incorporate a drainage channel, or fall it to a sump, and plumb a stormwater drain out the back of the property into the creek. (current stormwater from the roof goes into soakage pits and they always overflow) I will be in Whangarei from 18-25 july and available to meet those who wish to get a better measurement and idea of our requirements, Also depending on costs, may also look at the option of decorative concrete, such as tile/paver look.
