| I hired Jeremy after finding him to be nice and seemingly trustworthy. Once the job stared I found his employee Mason was going to do the work. Mason seemed ok at his work, but felt it ok to walk into my house and make himself cups of tea, which I did not appreciate. He did not seem to be aware that my house is not for him to make himself at home in, and I felt uncomfortable with his expectation of frequent tea breaks (every ten minutes one day). I offered him tea a couple of times a day, which I feel is more than enough.
One day my son broke his arm while playing, and while the ambulance was on its way Mason thought fit to comment that my two year old son, who was crying, should put some ''harden up cream on''. Naturally I was very angry about this, thankfully Mason later apologized for his comment.
Things went from bad to worse, as once the job was completed I noticed that one of the barge boards that had been replaced was a couple of inches shorter than all the other ones, leaving exposed wood which would deteriorate over time. I contacted Jeremy and he said he would send Mason out next time he was in Upper Hutt. Weeks passed and still no Mason. I contacted Jeremy again and he ignored my emails. One day I saw him drive by the house looking at the barge boards, and driving off angrily. I noticed that my roof had started leaking water where they had been working, and called the plumber as it was only when I used the hot water. The plumber informed me the roofers had cut my overflow pipe off too short (which they did not consult me about) and it was now sending hot water splashing about every time I use the hot tap. I contacted Jeremy about this, and he promised me he would come out and have a look. And said that he could not see any issue from the road with the barge boards, but every one else who has looked at it can see it is short. Weeks later he still has not kept his word. I warned him that I would have no other choice but to write a bad review, but still no contact.
I am thoroughly disappointed in Jeremy, as he seemed like an honest guy - but has turned out to be quite the opposite. My requests have all been polite and reasonable, I paid promptly as he requested, and he has ignored me for months now. I would not hire him again, and would seriously warn others off using him. Now I have to pay the plumber to fix the pipe due to their shoddy workmanship, and hope it has not done too much damage. (work carried out by an employee of the company) | Good Thanks Jonette. | Turned up to quote when they advised they would. Emailed quote promptly, and happy to answer queries from me.
A poor start when on the day they were due to start I had to ring them and be told that actual start would be later in the week. When I rang on Friday I was told we will be there on Monday, and started trying to blame a supplier for the delay. They did start as promised and stayed for the duration of the job that covered a two week period. Gwil was a real professional in what he did, and I thank him for his efforts.
