DescriptionWe have an old wood burner that is no longer used and is taking up a corner of our lounge. The chimney/flue goes up through the ceiling and through the second storey above.

We'd like to have it all removed and taken away. The top of the chimney has already been removed and roof tiles put in place.

We'd like you to make good the ceilings and floors. The ceiling on the upper storey needs insulation (pink bats) and patching where the top of the chimney used to be. The floor on the upper storey needs patching, as does the ceiling on the ground floor. There will be a little bit of paint involved for the ceilings. We have some small pieces of carpet that might do for patching the carpet on the upper storey.

The burner sits on a raised, tile (over concrete?) surface. If this can be removed and be made level with the rest of the lounge floor, that would be great. It's possible that we could leave this (just the removal of the raised, tiled surface) to some future time, especially if it would be best to re-carpet after its completion.

We've lived with this for a while now, so there is no desperate urgency. We're happy to fit in with you as best we can, although we would like to agree a schedule if possible.
