| Description | As a part of leaky building remediation, the main bathroom was reconstructed and completely re-tiled. This left the ensuite bathroom that was not impacted by the leaks with different tiles, and looking old and shabby compared to the newly rebuilt one. So, this job is to re-tile the ensuite bathroom using the same tiles the contractor used to re-fit the main bathroom. I am hoping to get the info about the tile manufacturer/model, but they are just basic white, and maybe they even did not use the tiles, but the boards that look like tiles. I imagine this job would require a builder for removal of old tiles and preparation of the surface, plumber to ensure the drains (2) are properly fitted onto the surface, and the tiler, but maybe one handy person can do it all. After discussing this with a project manager, this is the scope of the job - may help to know beforehand: * [phone] Allow to lift and dispose of the existing floor and wall tiling * [phone] Make good the substrates and apply an approved tile underlay. * [phone] Apply a new waterproof membrane * [phone] Allow to install new tiling same as the main bathroom. * [phone] Allow a contingency for the remove and the reinstatement of the existing plumbing and bathroom fixtures. Optionally, depending on the cost I may also need to look at repainting the ensuite walls, ceilings, and trim, but this is not my biggest concern at the moment. |
